Every spring in Northern Michigan, something magical happens — the trees begin to bloom, the light softens, and Mother’s Day reminds us to slow down and cherish the people we love most. That’s exactly why I host Mother’s Day Mini Sessions in Traverse City — to give mamas the chance to be in the frame with their babies and to celebrate the season of motherhood in a meaningful, beautiful way.
Whether you're pregnant with your first or chasing toddlers around the studio, this is your invitation to pause, be present, and let me document the love between you and your little ones.
What Are Mother’s Day Minis?
These 20-minute studio sessions are designed to be short and sweet — perfect for busy moms who want beautiful, professional photos without the time commitment of a full session. The backdrop is simple and elegant (this year, a soft blue hand-painted canvas and floral installation by Bend on Blossoms), so the focus stays on what matters most: your connection.
Each mini session includes:
- 10 high-resolution digital images
- Access to the client wardrobe (for moms + littles)
- Light professional hair styling
- A relaxed, guided experience to help you feel comfortable and confident
Who Are These Sessions For?
- Moms with babies, toddlers, or teens
- Pregnant mamas (yes, maternity minis welcome!)
- Generational portraits with grandma + the kids
- Anyone who’s always behind the camera and never in it
You don’t need to do anything fancy — just show up, love on your kids, and I’ll do the rest.
When & Where
Location: My natural light studio in Traverse City, Michigan
Date: Typically scheduled for the last weekend in April to allow plenty of time for photo delivery before Mother’s Day.
